MEETINGS, ENTERTAINMENTS, dc.
The ladies of Hanmer gave a social and dance i n the new hall on Friday night, in return for one given on a previous occasion by the shearers. Several songs, recitations, and other items were given, and dancing was kept up until well into the morning. The Hon. W. Hall-Jonee, Minister for "üblio Worke, and Mr A. W. Rutherford, M.U.K., were present during the early part of the evening.
