DEATH OF A TOURIST.

WELLINGTON, January 16.
An ir.queyi, was held to-day on the body of John Taylor Guidon, a tourist, aged thkty-two years, who died at the Occidental Hotel on Wednesday. The evidence showed that ciecwist-d was a hopeless dip-omaciae. He had been s*;nt out from Eziglund by his friends in the .hope that ths trip would cure him of the disease. Ha had aJm::t*d to a medical man that he had -taken large quantities of clcchol urkyiown io his frk-nd,':. Twenty-four eniTity whisky bottles -were found in his b-droo:n. A verdict of de-a'h from acute alcoholiismi wis returned, witli a rider that no "was attached to the licensee of tha hotel, where the death occurred.
