Mr Gray's reply is as under: — "I am in receipt of your favour of tiie 12th inst., and in reply beg to submit the following answers to the list of questions you have forwarded to me: 1. Recognising the necessity that exists for preserving the continuity of the tram ss-rvict*. I am ot opinion that the Board will liave to make some arrangements with the exiting companies with the view of conserving the convenience of the public.
