♦ It is expected that tke Al Company's dredge started work on Thursday. At tho statutory meeting of the Belie Yue Gold Dredging Company, held in thia city on Thursday, the following were elected directors: —Messrs G. King (chairman), G. Walker (of Kocklonds and Se.son), Edwin B.ake, James Knight, and G. W. Staniland. Mr H. A. Bruce was appointed auditor. The Hokitika River Company's dredge, which is to work the Belle Vue Company's claim, has been dismantled, and there is every probability that the contractors will have finished their work in the contract time, six mouths.
