OHRI'-OXMUBCH v fcSYDENHAM. A match for the penmant in connection with the Canterbury 'affiliated bowling clubs was played yesterday afternoon, on the Chr_stohurch green, between three rinks representing the o__r_stohurch and Sydenham "Clubs. The green played very keen throughout. At the first seven heads the ' scores promised a close game, being as follows: —No. 1 Rink, Christohurch 8, Sydenham 5; No. 2 Rink, Christchurch 5, Sydenham 2; No. 3, Christohuroh 7, Sydenham 12. The totals at this stage of the game were—Christohuroh 20, Sydenham 19. At the end of the fourteenth head, however, the Christchurch rinks had greatly improved tneir position, the scores being:—No. 1 Rink, 22,.Sydenham 9, No. 2, Christchurch 21, Sydenham 3; No. 3, Cftr_stchurch 20, Sydenham 16. Totals-»Christchuroh 63, Sydenham 28. At the end of the game the scores were: —No. 1 Rink, Christchurch 25, Sydenham 15; No. 2, Christchurch 29, Sydenham 11; No. 3, Christohuroh 29, Sydenham 19. Grand total—Christchurch 83," Sydenham 45. The following were the rinks and scores: — No. l'Rink—Christchurch—F. J. Smith, H. fTisch, W. Cuddon, ur. Anderson (sk), 25. Sydenham—H. Allison, W. ..Mann, J. Forrester, T. MoGallon (sk), 15.'* '.*•*■ No. 2 Rink—Christchurch—W. R. Cooke, Frederick Holbbs, Dr. Brittin, S. H. Seager (sk), 29. Sydenham—W. Calvert, W. A. Howieson, J. Perks, B. Thrc-p (sk), 11. No. 3 Rink—Christchurch—F. J. Brothers, A. Urquhart, O. F. Money, Torrence (sk), 29. Sydenham—T. H. Feairys, E. C. Chegwin, T. Waddell, J. Hadfield (sk), 11. The match with the Southbridgc Club will take place to-morrow.
