The installation of Brother W. C Cleary ac W.M. of the Lodge of Unanimity, No. '6, Lyttelfcon, wkl be held at 7.30 o'clock tonight. The Grand Hester, assisted by Grand Lodge officers, will perform the ceremony, and brethren fiom all lodges axe cordially invited. Visiting brethren can return to ChristC'hutrch by train at 12.10 a.m. The fete at Elmwood in connection wiui the Horticultural Society will take place to-day, when the grounds, ferneries, etc., will be thrown open to tdie public, lueru will be a band in attendance, and tne champion teams in physical drail wild give an exhibition. Mr F. H. Bams notifies elsewhere that he will be a candidate for übe Lvtteiton seat on the Harbour Board at bbc next election. The date of the picnic -of the building tradee to SheffiaSd has been altered; to January 31at. lhe annual picnic of the employees of the Ohrietchurch Meat Company takes place at Amberley oa the 24th jnst. The Sunrner Ciala, for which a very attractive programme has been arranged, takes place to-day, and should the weather prove fine no doubt ihere will be a large attendance. There wil be additional tram* at noon and 3 p.m. from the square, and at night there will be an open-air concert. - The following etudente connected with Gaby'e Commerce*!
