The Corinthio is expected to leave Wellington for Lyttelton towards the end of this week. She lias 1250 tons of cargo for this portThe weather on the West Coast has been very bad of late (says the Wellington "Post" oi Monday), and the Tutanekai, which left Greymouth on the 29th December for Jackeon's Bay and Milford Sound with provisions and men, has not yet returned. Ever since the vessel left Greymouth there has not been, one suitable day on which the men could be landed. Mr Chamberlain, who lias had charge of the clerical department of the Penguin for tho past few months, is to be transferred to the Te Anau. Mr Mcßride, who has been acting-mate of the Pukaki during the time the Xaviuni hns been laid up, is to rejoin the Island trader. Mr Lippett, late of the Wainui, will take his place. Tihe Sealda, from Calcutta and Singapore, i» expected from the North. Island to-morrow. The Papanui arrived from Timaru at 5.40 a.m. yesterday, aiid leaves 'for Wellington tomorrow. , The Rotomahana iirrived from Wellington ax 8.15 a.m. yesterday, and left for Wellington last night. The Aporima. left Calcutta for Singapore, Samarang. and New Zealand porta on the 4th of January. She wEI make Auckland her first port of call in .New Zealand, and is due there about February 2nd. She has about 500 tone for Xiyttelton. The Clyde was twenty miles from tht Heads at 6 o'clock this morning, and had a good westerly wind. Mr W. T. Wooda who hae 'been studying at the Navigation School, Devonia, Lyttelton, passed his examination yesterday for a oortiflcats of competency as first mate- of a foreign going vessel. The Maori came out of dock, and went intc the stream yesterday afternoon. The Kurnara left for Wellington at 2.33 p.m. yesterday. Tho Cygnet left for Akaroa at 2.80 p.m. yesterday The departure of tio Sussex nae been postponed till to-day. The Hosamond left for Greymouth yesterday afternoon. EXPECTED ARRIVALS.
