ROAD BOARDS.
MANDEVILLE AND RANGIORA.
At a meeting of the Mandeville and Rangiora Road Board there were present Messrs Horrell (chairman), L&eeh, Stevenson, and Stalker. Otter* for tutting cocksfoot were accepted as follows;— J. Alien (£3 10;), J. Uoirgett (£1 12s 6d). It was decided to grant the Mandeville River Board permission to raise the road from the Flaxton Church to the main drain bridge and rond nuith of the drain. The Kowui Road Boa id is to be advised that Mandevill.e Board ljas no objection to the foimer being granted thtf light of the nciith skte <t" Ashlty liver for protective works. It wan decided that the Rungiora Council be applied to for a syant to suppress small birds. The Bonn] resolved to recommend Mr Budd.i, M.H.R.. for appointment a* representative of the Ashley County on tne Lyttc-ltfin Harbour Board. The surveyor recommended that the brides over th? .S'.M'thbrouk stream on the River Marsh load be replaced in concrete. The work is to be <-;i!iie:l out. The month's receipts were £78 r.s. The bank debit. balance \\n:i shown t-;i h:ive been £2G3 7s 9d. Accounts amounting to £174 7s 7d were pa.ssed for payment.
