An American syndicate has purchased St. James's Hall, converting it into a hotel and restaurant. MR ALFRED BEITS HEALTH. CAPETOWN, January 12. Mr Alfred Beit is much improved in health. Dr. Jameson reports that he is progressing favourably, and proceeds to Europe in a fortnight.
