There was a large entry of sheep sal pigs and a small entry of cattle at the i' ' Leeston sale last week. Fat lambs were not prime ,- quality, prices being 14e Id to 14s 3d. Chamberlain had three pen* «||f prime sheep, ewes realising 15s 7d, t«o>i tooth ewes and wethers 17s 4d, n*tkmtaZ& 18s lid. Mr S. Worner sold a line of tin* 1® tooth wethers at 16s. A large line of "ft prime fat lambs sold privately at 14s 91 % Pigs were very mieven at the nt&rt of'%l the sale, prices for fats being very littk '& over 4d for best. The prices, howerov improved, and were as follows:—Fat 40s to 695, or 4|d to 5d per lb; porWi* 36s to 60s, or 5d per lb. Stores.—Wersvf. 5 ? era 8s to 14s, good stores 23s to 30s, t»>-p, ward stores 365. The principal sake flt;t§ the day were a pen of baconers from VxM J McMillan, Dunsandel, which brought 6Ufc"i& and a pen of stores from Mr J. McLacbia-fc *#■' junr., the price realised being 365.
