The return of 65c_ Sdwt of amalgam from the North Beach Company's dredge, for 87 hours' work dast week, is estimated to yield about 260_ of retorted gold. The return from Bactolus is made up as follows:—So. 1 dredfie 230z 6dwt for seven days, and Jfo. 2 dredge 690z ladrw. for sis days. Tho Trafalgar Company's ckr-dge__uwter reported on January 3rd:—"Have oomp.etcd a lot of necessary repairs during the holidays; being hampered a lot with ailt through floods The wash on the bluff side » showing poor. I am extending (the face towards tho Try Again Terrace side, where the wash is cbangicg to a bluish colour, with a reef bottom, but I cannot ssy yet if there is any improvement in the gold.
