ST. ALBAINS.
A meeting of the St. Albans School Committee was held on Wednesday evening. Present—Messrs Fletcher (chairman), Cole, Lucas, Harrison, Allen, Deane, Simpson, and Walker. The average attendance for the past twelve month* at the main school waa 421, which entitles the school to an extra mast-ess. The average attendance at the side school was 111. The Com-rattee'congratulated the headmaster on the succeys of two of his pupils, Masters Tom Fletcher and James Graham, who have gained scholarships at the Boys' High School and Christ's College respectively.
