MELBOURINi-, January 10. The Austral Wheel Race resulted as follows:—Auger 1, Forbea 2, Lewis 3. There were fifteen starters in the Austral, including the New Zealanders Chalmers, Plunkett and Forbes. The lastnamed was leading two laps from Auger and Lewis. Auger tackled the leader at the turn, and after a great race won oy a length and a half. Time, 4min 26 l-stheec. The winner is 22 years of age, and only started racing last season.
