CONCERT AT HANMER SPRINGS.

The Hanmer Hail was well filled on Wednesday evening, when an enjoyable concert took place, the performers being the. visitors to The Lodge and Jollies Pass. Songs were contributed by .Misses Sandstein and Beasley, and by Messrs Curtis, Cairns, and Pike, all of whom responded to encores. Mrs Rule and Miss Me_z.es gave recitations, while Miss Hyndman assisted as pianist. Sir Wm. Stewart, as chairman, proposed a vote of thanks to the promoter of the entertainment, Miss E. Cooke, for her untiring energy, and also to the performers. The evening closed with the singing of the National Anthem. The proceeds, amounting to about.£B, are to be devoted towards the school prize fund.
