A PANTOMIME.
Mr P. R. Dix arrived in town yesterday to make preliminary arrangements for his pantomime season at the Opera House, which commences on Monday, 19th inst. "Dick Whittington and his Cat" have appeared at the Theatre Royal, Wellington, to crowded houses ever since Boxing Night. The production is spoken of in the highest terms. There are over seventy persons engaged in the pantomime. The scenery and %vardrobe have all been specially made) and the graceful statue ballet and the up-to-date topical songs have all helped towards the success achieved in the north. It is many years since a pantomime lias been produced in Clixistchurch.
