WATER SUPPLY BOARD.
The adjourned WninYafca-riri-Asldey Yjjfater Supply Thursday. Present—Jiessrs Dalziel' (chairman), Horrell, Dixon, O*HaUoran, and Dalley. A letter was received from Mr Buddo in reference to Moerakr Downs water supply, and the following resolution was unanimously adopted:—"That if Mr Buddo will call a meeting for Saturday, 29th irist., at Stoke, at 2 p.m., the Chairman and Mr O'Halloran will be prepared to attend it as representatives .of the North Moeraki Downs subdivision on the Water "■ Board, ii" desired by the promoters of the meeting to do so." Mr Foster's offer for payment of rates for use of Cooper's creek water; supply was accepted. Messrs Powell, Dalley, apid Aldridge interviewed the Board re their race in East Oxford, and after discussion the-Engineer was instructed to examine and adjust matters. It was resolved that the Bqard, by advertisement; • recaL all privileges for the use of water for irrigating, for ponds or other special purposed in the Cooper's creek subdivision of the district.' All ratepayers requiring water for special purposes . must apply to the Board, as a scale of charges will be made. Wednesday, November 2nd, was appointed for a special meeting of the Board to ,adopt a special resolution for passing by 4 laws in the Cooper's creek Subdivision of the district. . . • ;
