Golden Legend covered three in 40£ sec, and Kissmiss the six furlongs in lmin 21sec. Tamapu and a recent addition to Thomson's team galloped strongly over a mile. Medallius was freer than .ucidanus at the end of six furlongs, run in lnrin 23se«, Vulcan leading the pair the-last -.tree furlongs. Clarence and Typhoon were schooled over the small fences. At Yaldhurst, on Saturday morning, Screw Gun and St. Lucia were galloped half a mile with Multiform for a companion, but after the first two furlongs he had them both smothered for pace. Altair was then sent a mile and a half, Motto picking him up the last mile, holding him easily throughout. Tolstoi and Scobeloff were then sent half a mile with Multiform, and he served them as he had done the first mentioned pair of juveniles. Benzoin covered two rounds at half pace. St. Ilaro was not extended.
