(Before R. Beetham, Esq., S.M.) Drunkenness.—Mary JucKegnie and Isabella McKegnie were charged with being drunk, and disorderly. Sergt.-Major Ramsay said these women, who had been very frequently convicted, and seemed to be quite incorrigible, had only conic out of gaol on the previous afternoon. They' went about the town that night behaving in an oulrape ous manner, and when arrested, were screaming out the most obscene language. This conduct they continued in the lockup to such an extent as to attract a crowd- outside the depot. They were sentenced each to three months' imprisonment with hard labour. When being removed to the police • van "and on the " .way t6 the lockup, Ataxy, the youngest sister, swore and yelled so loudly as to be heard over a long distance.*-Isabella-Leckie j&cL Edward Brown wer& sentenced each to seven days imprisonment witu hard) labour.—- A man not before convicted, was convicted and discharged.
