TOTALISATOR PERMITS.
(PRESS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, October 15. A deputation representing Trotting Clubs waited on the Colonial Secretary this morning urging that an increased number of totalisator permits be allotted to Trotting Clubs. Sir P. Buckley expressed himself dissatisfied with the Act, and said he would like to see it repealed. He said he had completed the arrangement re licenses for the present season, and therefore declined the request of the deputation.
