GENERAL ASSEMBLY.
In the T egislative Council in the afternoon the Liquor Sale Control Bill was reported from Committee, with leave to sit again, as was the L_nd and Income Assessment Act Amendment Bill. The Sea Fisheries Act Amendment Bill passed the final stages. The Land for Settlements Bill was read a second time. The debate on the Stock Act Amendment Bill was interrupted by the recess. In the evening the Stock Bill was read a second tims. The Imprest Supply Bill was passed. The Water Bupply Amendment Bill, the Companies' Deposits Amendment Bill, and the Teachers' Court ot Appeal Bill were read the second time. The second reading of the Rating on Unimproved Value 8.1 l was adjourned, and the Couucil rose at a quarter to ten o'clock. In the House of Representatives, in the afternoon, the Beet Root Sugar Bill was introduced, and an Imprest Supply Bill for £155,500 was passed. In the evening several alterations in the tariff were agreed to. The Land Tax and Income Tax Bill was passed. The Local Authorities Loans Conversion Bill was read a second time. The House rose at 2 a.m.
