Miss Monica Boynton, of -Waimana, left Auckland last Saturday by the “Tamaroa” for England, where she intends staying for two years.
Mr J. Mullins was re-elected chairman by the Bay of Plenty Hospital Boar'd yesterday. Mrs D. E. Sumner was elected deputy-chair-man.
Dr T. N. Kawe, of the Whakatane hospital medical staff, has resigned from December 23 to go into private practice. His resignation was accepted by the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board yesterday. The medical superintendent, Dr E. T. Dawson, said a fifth-year student was available as a replacement until the end of January but a permanent replacement had not yet been found.
