Good Pig Yarding At Te Puke Sale

A good yarding of all classes of pigs came forward at the fortnightly Te Puke stock sale held last Tuesday, reports the Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co. Ltd. Baconers and large buttermilks sold under keen competition. Medium weight baconers were very keenly. Small stores and weaners were slow of sale.

All classes of cattle were penned in large numbers. Beef and young, fat cows and heifers, ex dairy, were keenly sought by local and outside butchers. Boner and store Jerseys sold at higher values. The advertised entry of station cattle were of good quality, females and grown steers selling well, while yearling steers were easier. A medium entry of fat and store sheep met with keen competition.
