Pig Sale Held At Edgecumbe

The Farmers’ Co-op. Auctioneering Co. Ltd. report on their fortnightly pig sale held at Edgecumbe on Monday. The largest yarding of pigs for some time came forward. Competition for bacon was again very keen while values for porkers, stores and weaners showed an easing in values. Quotations: —■

Heavy bacon, £7 Is to £7 4s; medium bacon, £6 17s to £7; light bacon £6 8s to £6 14s; buttermilk pigs and larger pork, £5 15s to £6 3s; large store pigs, £5 to £5 10s; medium store pigs, £4 8s to £4 16s; small store pigs, £3 10s to £4 2s; best slips, £2 15s to £3 8s; best weaners, 35s to £2 8s; small weaners, 10s to 255.
