End Of Year For Frontiersmen

To mark the end of a busy and successful year, Whakatane Troop, Legion of Frontersmen, held a social evening on Saturday at Lieutenant C. Bathe’s home. Feature of the evening was a screening of views of White Island, followed by pictures, of Tarawera before and after the eruption and an illustrated talk on the Turatara afid its habits. Mr B. Sladden presented this programme.

Capt. H. Mole thanked all Frontiersmen’s wives for their help and co-operation through the year and, on behalf of the Troop, presented each one with a small gift. Mrs A. G. Judd thanked the Troop for its gesture, and assured members of the ladies’ continued support.
