Stock Competition Remains Keen
Messrs Dalgety „and Co. Ltd. report having cheld their fortnightly stock sale on Thursday, when there was a good yarding of beef and a medium yarding of boner cattle. Competition on all classes remains exceptionally keen, beef showing an increase on previous quotations. A total clearance was effected at prices definitely satisfactory to vendors. Realisations were:—
Prime heavy P.A. bulocks to £3O 10s; good P.A. Shorthorn cross bullock to £27; prime heavy Jersey bullocks to £22; young light P.A bullocks to £18; prime heavy Jersey cows, £l4 10s to £ls; heavy Jersey cows, £l3 to £l4; medium, £lO to £l2; heavy boner cows, £9 to £10; medium, £8 to £8 17s; light, £7 10s to £B.
