Paddy’s Market For Women’s Institute
A Paddy’s Market was held to finish the Whakatane Women’s Institute year on Tuesday. A Xmas tableau, arranged by Mrs Albiston, and carols were presented. An exchange of Xmas gifts to members took place all present being aranged on a Xmas tree. Stalls and tearooms did brisk trade.
The gardening circle met during the month at Mrs R. P. Shaw’s residence and although no demonstration could be given on account of the weather the gladioli were admired.
