At Taneatua on Saturday visiting tennis players from Otakiri were defeated by a narrow margin in the Pritchard Cup C grade competition. Scores were as follows, Taneatua names first:— Ladies’ Singles: Mrs Tebbutt 11 Miss S. Lord 3; Miss Rae 11 Miss Aird 3; Mrs Foreman 8 Miss Barton 11; Mrs Heron 6 Miss Jessup 11. Ladies’ Doubles: Tebbutt and Rae 11 Lord and Jessup'4; Foreman and Heron 10 Aird and Barton 11. Men’s Singles: Wilson 11 Dunning 7; Grey 7 Fulford 11; Anderson 11 Steenson 6; Bennett 11 Minnarapi 4. Men’s Doubles: Wilson and Grey 11 Dunning and Fulford 7; Anderson and Bennett 5 Steenson and Minnarapi 11. Combined Doubles: Wilson and Tebbutt 11 Dunning and Lord 4; Grey and Rae 8 Fulford and Aird 11; Anderson and Foreman 11 Steenson and Barton 6; Bennett and Heron 5 Minnarapi and Jessup 11.
