PUBLIC NOTICES RANGITAIKI LAND DRAINAGE Notice of Intention to make and levy General Rates and Notice of Amendment of Annually Recurring Special Rates. Department of Lands & Survey Wellington, November 9, 1950. NOTICE is hereby given that it is intended, pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, • 1910, and its amendments, to make and levy, on the unimproved value of all land within the district constituted under the said Act, the general rates described in the First Schedule hereto, to meet maintenance costs for the period Ist April, 1950, to 31st March, 1951. Notice is also given that pursuant to the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, and its amendments, the annually recurring special rates made and levied on 4th May, 1938, and payable on the 30th August in each year on the unimproved value of all land within the Rangitaiki Land Drainage District has been amended as from the Ist April, 1950, to the amounts described in the Second Schedule hereto and the said special rates will, in respect f the financial year ending on the 31st March, 1951, be payable on the 11th December, 1950, and will in respect of every future year be payable on the 30th August in such year. The amount of the general rates, together with the anually recurring special rates, already made and levied will be payable in one sum on the 11th December, 1950. The Valuation roll of the district is open for inspection at the office of the Collector of Rates, Room 8, First Floor, Government Buildings, Customs Street West, Auckland, and a copy of same may be inspected at the Land Drainage Office of the Ministry of Works at Thornton, near Whakatane, at all times at which those offices are open for the transaction of public business. FIRST SCHEDULE General Rates CLASS A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class A by the arbitrators appointed under section 6 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, five pence and eighty-six one-hundredths of a penny (5.86 d) in the pound. [ CLASS B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, three pence and ninety-one one-hundredths of a penny (3.91 d) in the pound. CLASS C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and ninety-five one-hundredths of a penny (1.95 d) in the pound. CLASS D: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class D, sixty-five one-hun-dredths of a penny (0.65 d) in the pound. SECOND SCHEDULE . Special Rates CLASS A: On the unimproved value of all lands classified as Class Aby the arbitrators under section 6 of the Rangitaiki Land Drainage Act, 1910, four pence and fifty two one-hun-dredths of a penny (4.52 d) in „the pound. CLASS B: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class B, three pence and one one-hundredth of a penny (3.01 d) in the pound. CLASS C: On the unimproved value of all lands so classified as Class C, one penny and fiftyone one-hundredths of a penny (1.51 d) in the pound.
