Only Six At Swimming Club Meeting

Only six attended the annual meeting of the Whakatane Amateur Swimming Club on Wednesday evening. The president, Mr J. R. Francis, expressed regret at the attendance. He gave a report on the past season’s activities, and declared that the club had done valiant work amongst the young people of katane.Election of officers: — Patron, Mr H. G. Warren; president, Mr A. L. Kilgour; vice-presi-dent, Mrs G. McFarland; joint secretaries, Messrs R. S. Buttimore and J. R. Francis; auditor, Mr R. Riddell. It was decided that the 1950/51 season commence on November 25 and that pending confirmation the clubs activities be carried out at the school baths.
