OBITUARY
MR W. L. RICHARDSON
Mr William Lusby Richardson of James Street, Whakatane, and late of Opouriao and Waimana, has died. As a youth he came to Poverty Bay from Selby, England, where he was born and educated. For about 40 years Mr Richardson was a dairy farmer, and for a number of years served on the directorate and was chairman for both Waimana and Opouriao Dairy Factories. As a young man he was a keen athlete, playing rugby, cricket and hockey with representative teams. Later he was a member of Taneatua and Whakatane Bowling Clubs. Mr Richardson is survived by his widow. His only sister is Mrs Gerald Joblin, of Opotiki, and a brother is Mr Ernest Richardson, of Onehunga.
