New Road Into Hospital

It is proposed that the new entrance roadway to the Whakatane Public Hospital should be wide enough for two cars, be tar sealed, have a footpath and a parking strip, said the chairman, Mr J. Mullins, at a meeting of the Bay of Plenty Hospital Board yesterday. He reported on a discussion with the Housing Construction Department, which will be making a new road from Stewart Street. The Department will be asked by the Board to take full charge of the work and to submit its plans before the work proceeds.
