PRE-ELECTION MEETING ON NOVEMBER 14
Arrangements are almost comlete for a public pre-election meeting to be held in. the King Street Hall on Tuesday, November 14.
While' the meeting has been arranged by the Whakatane Qitizens’ Association, the Association makes it clear that apart from ensuring that the meeting will be held and paying the rent for the hall it will be taking no further part. The procedure for the meeting will be decided entirely by the chairman, Rev. R. T. Dodds. Many councillors and prospective councillors have already stated that they will be happy to address the meeting.
