Competition For Pigs
Messrs Dalgety & Co. Ltd. report having held their fortnightly pig sale on Monday, when there was a good yarding of both bacon and store pigs. Competition on all classes remained exceptionally keen and an excellent sale resulted.
Realisations were:— v Heavy baconers, £7 3s to £7 4s; medium, £6 19s to £7 2s; light, £6 to £6 17s; large stores, £5 Is' to £5 10s; good slips, £4 Is to £4 15s; medium slips, £3 10s to £3 16s; weaners, according to quality, £2 Is to £2 18s.
