FLOWERS BLOOM IN RAIN

NUMEROUS ENTRIES IN MATATA SHOW

Although it rained steadily all day, there was a good attendance and numerous entries in all classes at the Matata Women’s Institute Flower Show. Entries in the decorative classes were beautiful and varied and showed to their fullest advantage on the stage. There were also some fine collections of vegetables.

The children’s entries were an outstanding feature of the show, and were of an exceptionally high standard. Children competed from Pukehina, Matata Convent, and Matata Maori Schools. Results were:—
