Change-Over To Summer Sport
The change-over from winter to summer sports will take a positive turn in Whakatane tomorrow. Football will finish with a senior match between Maoris and pakehas for the Jackson Shield and a junior game between United and Wairaka in the final for the Wilson Cup. Proceeds .will go to the injured players’ fund.
The Whakatane Rowing Club will open its season on Sunday with a “learn-to-row” week. The Whakatane Amateur Athletic and Cycling Club will open its season at the Domain.
The Whakatane Bowling Club will open its season.
