Potato Board To Continue Contract System

The newly established Potato Board intends to continue the present contract growing and marketing system. This was announced after the first meeting of the board. Mr T. L. Hayman, MP., was elected chairman.

The board says it has appointed as its agents in the signing of contracts the members of the New Zealand Grain, Seed and Produce Merchants Federation. The application of potato merchants, who are not members of that federation for recognition as contracting agents will receive individual consideration.
