DALGETY’S COMING TO WHAKATANE FROM OPOTIKI
Messrs Dalgety and Co. Ltd. intend to transfer their Bay of Plenty headquarters from Opotiki to Whakatane, they informed the'Whakatane Harbour Board in a letter received at Friday’s meeting. The company applied for the lease of a section opposite to or adjoining the proposed Post Office site' on the reclamation area so that they could build there. The Board decided to inform the Company that sections were hoped to be ready for allotment within about four months.
