Scarcity Of Wire Throughout Bay

Inquiries are to be made in Bay of Plenty districts to ascertain the supply of fencing wire throughout the area. This was decided at a meeting of the Bay of Plenty Pro--vince of Federated Farmers, held at Whakatane, when a letter was considered from Federated Farmers’ head office.

The letter inquired about the supply of fencing wire and if it is scarce, representations are to be made to the Government for requesting an improvement in the position. *

Fencing wire in some districts seems to be very short said the chairman, Mr S. A. Wells. Mr R. Wardlaw (Waimana) said that it appeared to be very short at Whakatane and Opotiki.
