Large Yarding At Te Teko Sale
The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Co. Ltd. report a large yarding at their fortnightly sale, held at Te Teko on Monday. A full yarding of pigs of all classes was offered and prices were very buoyant in this section and slightly above those rates obtained at recent fixtures.
In the cattle section, fat Jerseys again were in demand and values attained here and in the boner pens were in accord with the recent high rates obtaining in other districts. Prices realised:— 7
Fat Jersey cattle, £lO to £l3; heavjr boners, £6 5s to £9 15s; cull cows, £4 to £6. Pigs: Baconers, £6 15s to £7 10s; light baconers, £6 to £6 15s; porkers, £4 10s to" £5 16s; stores, £3 7s to £4 ss; weaners, £2 10s to £3 ss. Sheep: Prime shorn ewes, 33s 6d to 41s 6d; prime shorn two-tooth wethers, £2 17s 6d; woolly hoggets, £4.
