Galatea Jottings

The pattern-drafting lessons arranged by the Women’s Institute and conducted by Mrs R. C. Nettleton are now well under way and the weekly meetings have a good attendance of members. Several members have already been putting to good use the knowledge gained so far. The next meeting of the Women’s Institute is to be a morning meeting so that members may then travel to Kaingaroa to attend the Kaingaroa W.I. birthday party. The pony club had another happy meeting on Saturday. There is no doubt that this club has proved a very good thing for the children and people in the district have noticed already how the children’s riding methods have improved since the club was first started.
