Messrs Wright, Stephenson & Co. Ltd. report holding their monthly stock sale at Taneatua, when a good yarding of store and fat cattle met with keen competition. Cattle: Fat cows: Friesian, £lO to £lB 17s 6d; Shorthorn, £lO to £l6 10s; Jersey, £lO 2s 6d to £ls 7s 6d; heavy boners, £7 5s to £9 7s 6d; light boners, £5 to '£6 16s; 2-year P.A. steers, £5 15s to £ll 15s; 2-year P.A. heifers, empty, £7 2s 6d to £lO 7s 6d; 2-year Jersey heifers, empty, £7 9s to £9; yearling Jersey heifers, £6 to £6 15s. % A line of shorn 2, 4 and 6 tooth wethers were sought after with the top pen making £2 15s and the tail end at £2 7s 3d. A small line of woolly hoggets sold at 395.
