TWO WEEKS IN GAOL IMPOSED FOR ASSAULT
Two weeks in prison comes to Joseph Kepa, 17a, for assault. He pleaded guilty in the Whakatane Court yesterday. Mr E. L. Walton, S.M., was on the bench.
Senior Sergeant Fuller said the defendant went to a house after drinking and punched a girl while she was in bed. He left hurriedly when he thought her father was coming.
The offence could have been more serious, the Senior Sergeant said. I Kepa was sentenced to 14 days’ imprisonment.
