Taneatua. 239 OTAKIRI FOOTBALL CLUB ANNUAL SMOKO SATURDAY, OCTOBER 14 OTAKIRI HALL Otakiri players, past players and supporters cordially invited. 2 WHAKATANE BOROUGH COUNCIL Pursuant to the Transport (Vehicular Traffic Road Closure) Regulations 1949, notice is hereby given that the Whakatane Borough Council, for the purpose of holding the New Zealand Championship Road Hill Climb to be conducted by the Bay of Plenty Motor-Cycle Club, proposes, subject to the approval of the Minister of Transport, to close the following roads and streets to vehicular traffic for the period indicated hereunder. , During the proposed period of closure the following provision will be made for ordinary vehicular traffic which would otherwise use the road and street, namely, the Wainui Te Whara Gorge Road. Any person objecting to the proposals is called upon to lodge notice of his objection and grounds thereof in writing, before the 16th day of October, 1950 at the office of the Whakatane Borough Council, Commerce Street, Whakatane. Road and Street proposed to be closed to ordinary vehicular traffic:— Clifton Road—from the intersection of Wairere Street to the intersection of Wainui Highway. Wainui Highway—from the intersection of Clifton Road to the south eastern intersection of Seaview Road. Period of proposed closure: From 12.30 p.m. to 4.30 p.m. on Saturday, 18th November, 1950.
