Whakatane-Rotorua Highway
The Whakatane-Rotorua State highway is in a better condition than has been the case for several years. The greater part of it has now been sealed with a good surface and the unsealed portions from Awakeri to Te Teko and Lake Rotoma to Lake Rotoiti have a good metal srface. Work of building up the foundations of the road and bends is proceeding steadily. Sealing is also being done as quickly as possible.
