North Defeats South 10-8
In an all out effort in the last five minutes, culminating in a fine try by Christian, the North Island snatched what seemed almost certain victory from the South Island. Douglas, the young Bay of Plen+3 player, gave a fine display to overshadow his All Black opponent L. Haig. The South had a much superior pack but their backlme seemed to lack initiative.
Auckland B defeated Bay of Plenty 22 to 8.
