Outside Interest In Whakatane Golf Club's Tournament
Indicative of the growing interest in the Whakatane Golf Club’s men’s open tournament, held at Labour week-end, is the fact that -50 entries from outside clubs have already been received. More are expected.
The tournament is drawing more attention' from outside each year.
It is hoped that all entrants this year will be given the opportunity to play, whatever their handicaps. Should there be an unduly heavy list, it is hoped that long-handicap players will be able to be sent off early.
