The Department of Agriculture reports that it has donated more than 140,000,000 pounds of food during the first four months of 1950 to schools, hospitals, private welfare organisations, and victims of floods. XXX The noted Italian orchestra conductor, Victor de Sabata, will conduct the Boston Symphony Orchestra at the Berkshire Music Festival in the State of Massachusetts in the United States this summer. It will be his first appearance with the Boston Orchestra.
