Te Puke Golfers Visit Whakatane

A team of 20 members of the Te Puke Club visited Whakatane to play a match against the local club. All games were keenly contested the result being a win for Whakatane 10 matches to 6, with 4 all square.

In a stableford handicap played on Saturday, S. J. Hansen won with 36 points. B. M. Alexander and W. D. Steel equal second 35 points. The semi-finals of the men’t championships will be played on Saturday and the finals on Sunday, October 1.
