Golf Club Champs Second Round

Second rounds of the Whakatane Golf Club’s championships were played on Saturday, with some bright games. Cutfield, Morpeth, Watson and Steel won in the senior grade. Feature of intermediate play was Littlejohn’s defeat of Barry at the twentieth. Others who will tackle the semi-finals are Luxton, Cassidy and Pearson. . • A two-up win came to D. O. Stewart from P. Campbell in the juniors and Stone, Cave and Moore were the other winners.
