Bishop Will Confirm Twelve Candidates At St. George’s Church
About 12 young people will be confirmed at St. George’s Church of England by the Bishop of Waiapu, Rt. Rev. N. A. Lesser, on Wednesday evening. They will be from Whakatane. Taneatua and Edgecumbe. They have been receiving instruction for several months.
The Bishop will arrive at Whakatane tomorrow night and will be the guest of the vicar, Rev. T. M. Loten. On Wednesday, he will meet country parishioners at Edgecumbe and, on Thursday, he will leave for Te Puke.
